Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the office stays open through the lunch hour. There is also a satellite office at 7 North Broadway in Edmond, open the same hours, at (405) 359-4515. The office processes more than $60 million each year in criminal fines, court costs, bond forfeitures, child support, and other payments. Staff can help you find old and new cases. They can pull records by name or case number. The clerk also issues marriage licenses, processes passports, stores wills, and sends out about 1,800 jury summons each month except July and August.
How to Get Oklahoma County Family Court Records
You can request family court records from Oklahoma County in person, by mail, or by email. The Oklahoma County records request page has an electronic form you can fill out online. After you submit a request, the office will contact you within five business days to confirm fees. Requests are completed within 10 business days once payment is received.

Copy fees are straightforward. The first page costs $1.00. Each page after that is $0.50. Certification is $0.50 per document. Authentication costs $5.00. Include a self-addressed envelope for your receipt.
Documents on the court docket that read "Document available at the Court Clerk's office" can be emailed to you free of charge upon request. But certified copies cannot be emailed. Oklahoma County Court Costs and Fees

Filing a new divorce case in Oklahoma County costs around $252 to $262 depending on whether children are involved. Under Title 28 § 31 of the Oklahoma Statutes, the standard copy fee is $1.00 for the first page and $0.50 for each additional page. Certification adds $0.50 per document. A name change filing costs $190.39 including publication. Adoption filings run $174.14, though those records are confidential and need a court order to access. Small claims cost $225.39 plus service. Online payment for existing case fines and costs is available at pay.oscn.net.
Payment plans for criminal assessments are not automatic. Defendants must appear at the Court Clerk's office as ordered by the sentencing judge. No appointments are needed. Staff sees people on a first-come, first-served basis. The credit card holder must be present for any card transaction.
Filing Family Court Records in Oklahoma County
Oklahoma County has shifted to the state's new e-file system at efile.oscn.net. Right now, e-filing is available for attorneys and state agencies only. Self-represented parties still file in person at 320 Robert S. Kerr Avenue, Room 500. Documents emailed outside of normal business hours get filed on the next regular business day.

Copies of filed documents can be downloaded from OSCN or requested through the court's website. Family court records in Oklahoma County use the FD case prefix. Cases filed before the mid-1990s may not be available online and would require an in-person search at the courthouse.
Oklahoma County Protective Orders
Protective order petitions in Oklahoma County are handled through the VPO office at (405) 713-1735, open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can file a petition at 320 Robert S. Kerr Avenue. A police report is required for harassment or stalking VPOs. After filing, you receive a temporary VPO packet within five business days. The defendant must be personally served before the court schedules a final hearing. Violation of a VPO is a criminal offense under Oklahoma law.
Under Title 20 O.S. § 1005, protective order records are kept for 10 years after the order is issued. Dismissed cases with no activity for more than a year may be disposed of. Family court records involving minor children have a longer retention period of 20 years.
